Remarkable Trade Volume at Port of Suifenhe

     According to the custom, total import and export value at port of Suifenhe from January to September amounted to $1.842 billion which increased by 68.9% compared with that in the same period last year and accounted for 40.1% of total value at ports of Heilongjiang province. Among these, the export value increased by 120% to $817 million in the first 9 months and accounted for 25.5% of total export value at ports of Heilongjiang. The import value increased by 41.3% to $1.024 billion and accounted for 73.6% of total imports at ports of Heilongjiang.

     Petty trade in the border areas is the main trade way at Suifenhe port. The trade value made through petty trade increased by 59.6% to $1.346 billion and accounted for 73.1% of total trade value at port of Suifenhe in first 9 months this year. Import and export volume through general trade was $316 million, 17.2% of total trade value. And trade volume through processing trade was $148 million, 8% of total trade value.

     Trade with Russia, the main business at port of Suifenhe, realized the value of $1.841 billion, 99.9% of the total trade value. And the values from trades with Ukraine and Japan were $330,000 and $160,000 respectively. And the import values from EU and USA are $170,000 and $130,000 respectively.

     Clothes, clothing accessories, mechanical and electrical products and agricultural products which realized export value of $614 million are the main export products at port of Suifenhe. Import value mainly came from trade of logs, fertilizers, sawn timber and iron ore. Import value from the four products achieved $994 million, 97.1% of total import value at the port. Among these, import value from fertilizers, sawn timber and iron ore increased by 140%, 120% and 56% respectively. Only log import value decreased by 4.8%.
